The Next Generation has arrived
The next generation has arrived at Vee Dub Transporters. Our new 2025 VW T7 Transporter is here and we’ve wasted no time when it comes to testing, developing and fitting new products! The Vee Dub community haven’t held back from voicing their opinions on the new van which has been met with negative comments and criticism from the outset!
For obvious reasons, the distaste from die-hard VW enthusiasts has been heard loud and clear ever since Volkswagen’s partnership with Ford was announced. Upon our inspection, the likeness and similarities between the New Transporter and Transit Custom models are clear. Nevertheless, it is our aim to transform this much hated model into an awesome Dub, deserving appreciation just like its predecessors! Read on to dive into our journey so far with the new T7 Transporter!

Ford Transit Custom
2025 VW Transporter
When both vans are side by side, the resemblance between the exteriors of the Transit Custom and the VW Transporter is obvious. The front end is where the differences can be seen. The bonnet, headlights, grille and bumper are all different with VW opting for a more rounded silhouette. The Transit Custom noticeably has a more angular, aggressive look from the factory. When it comes to the rear and side profiles, each van shares a very similar design.
On the inside, they share the same engine, gearbox and drive systems, all manufactured by Ford. A prominent gripe with the new Transporter is the wet belt system which has an infamous reputation across the automotive industry.
THE WORK BEGINS
We’ve wasted no time in getting new products fitted and even more developed for the new Transporter. On Day 1 we fitted our Sportline Style Sidebars and Deflec Wind Deflectors which are now for sale on our website! We also lowered the van with the Cobra Lowering Springs and gave it some fresh new alloys, already enhancing the van’s appearance!
